The Australasian Professional Society on Alcohol & other Drugs (APSAD) is the Asia Pacific's leading multidisciplinary organisation for professionals involved in the alcohol and other drug field. APSAD is dedicated to increasing the profile of the issues related to the use of alcohol and other drugs, through the dissemination of information from the wide range of professions involved in this field. In addition, we strive to promote improved standards in clinical practice and in research into this and allied subjects.

DURATION OF MEMBERSHIP
Membership is for one financial year. Members joining later in the financial year will receive back issues of the Drug and Alcohol Review for that year. Renewal notices are posted to all members in June.

Individual: $200 (incl. GST)
Concession: $155 (incl. GST) [for those with a gross income < $50k]

STUDENT MEMBERSHIP
What is a Student?
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or a postgraduate degree,
- Full-time study, or
- Part-time study with a gross income < $30K/pa (not including scholarship money)
- Students may be studying but are not limited to: medicine, pharmacology, public policy, psychology, social work, sociology, criminology, public health, mental health/psychiatry, counselling, nursing, economics and rehabilitation counselling.

What do I need to apply for student membership?
- Applications for student membership must include:
- a copy of your student ID,
- the name of the institution where you are studying,
- the course you are enrolled in,
- how far into the course you are and the length of the course and,
- your Supervisor’s name and signature on the application
- Renewal of your membership will only require a copy of your student ID.
Change in membership from student to ordinary will require a nominator.
Student Membership Feers: $100 (incl. GST)
INSTITUTIONAL MEMBERSHIP
APSAD relies on individual memberships for its survival. The primary aim of granting institutional membership is to ensure equitable access to APSAD's services and journal, for groups who may be disadvantaged by distance, funding or number of staff eligible for membership.
Small Institutions - $445 (incl. GST)
- Up to five (5) professional staff
- Remote geographical location / size of area serviced
Large Institutions - $870 (incl. GST)
- Six (6) professional staff

NB: LARGE INSTITUTION MEMBERSHIP CHANGES
Due to changes to our publishing contract, APSAD can no longer offer on-line access to the Drug and Alcohol Review for large institutional membership.
Please note that the change in on-line access came into effect on 1st January 2009.
These changes do not reflect on APSAD’s dedication to our institutional members and APSAD would like to thank-you for your continued support of the Society.
