The Drug and Alcohol Office is hosting this Symposium in collaboration with the Western Australian Network of Alcohol and other Drug Agencies, Healthway, WA Police, University of Western Australia, Edith Cowan University, Notre Dame University, Curtin University and the National Drug Research Institute.
This is a follow up to the Hope, Hype or Hard Evidence: Alcohol and Other Drugs Practice in the New Millennium symposium held in August 2010. This Symposium will bring together international, national and local speakers to present evidence-based research in policy, prevention, harm reduction, law enforcement strategies and treatment including pharmacotherapies.
The Road Ahead: Challenges, Change and Consolidation will provide numerous opportunities for professional networking, collaboration, discussion and debate around the themes of the Symposium.
